Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals hired Kliff Kingsbury to be their head coach this offseason, and Kingsbury has a connection to Kyler Murray.

Kingsbury once helped recruit the dynamic dual-threat QB to Texas A&M. He is also on-record as saying that if he had the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft he would take Murray with it.

He doesn’t have to prove himself to anyone by actually doing but he did that, say it.

Josh Rosen didn’t have the greatest rookie season of any quarterback drafted in 2018, but he has promise and the Cardinals’ front office — particularly general manager Steve Keim — invested quite a bit in him.

It would be borderline nonsensical to trade Rosen away and draft Murray, but peoples jobs are on the line here. If the Cardinals feel like Murray can help them compete with the reigning NFC Champion Rams right away, they need to take him.

Even going up against Russell Wilson and Jimmy Garoppolo, do the Cardinals really feel like Rosen gives them a better shot than Murray? Maybe they do.

If not, this is an intriguing possible landing spot for him.
