DE. New York Jets. Ezekiel Ansah . 22. player. 30.

Another team that is going to make a transition in the defensive scheme will be the New York Jets. Their new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is a 4-3 guy and will require the right personnel in order to make it a success. The good news is there are plenty of pieces in place for this, but they still don’t have a true edge rusher who can apply pressure to the quarterback.

While they no doubt would prefer somebody younger and less injury-prone, there is still some value in taking a risk on Ezekiel Ansah. The veteran defensive end has proven he can be a 10-sack-per-year guy in the NFL when he can stay on the field. Being able to play next to Leonard Williams should also be a big help for him. The cost shouldn’t be bad and they can afford it anyway.
