The Tennessee Titans pass rush managed to get by with creative scheming that involved a lot of blitzing. They had 39 sacks but it was apparent they were lacking in the edge rusher department. Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo combined for just two sacks on the year. Now Orakpo has chosen to retire, leaving the team further depleted at the position.

Preston Smith may not be a game-changer like other pass rushers in free agency, but he’s proven himself to be effective at harassing the quarterback. He only had 4.5 sacks this past year but he had 53 total pressures. QBs are rarely comfortable when he’s on the field. Under the direction of Dean Pees, he would have a chance to truly discover his full potential.
