ROUND SEVEN: KEELAN DOSS, WR, UC-Davis

I could just say ditto. Or, “see round 6”. 60% of the simulations had this guy still on the board in the 7th round. I had him coming off at the 4th-5th round range. Not since round one have I gone with the best player available but I did it here. Two wide receivers in the same draft? The Redskins had 6 different WRs end up on IR last year.

So, yes I took another WR in the 7th round. The 6’3 210 pound UCDavis WR seems to be a seventh round steal. Who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? Frankly, this is a team that can’t have too many WRs competing for roster spots. If one or two of them end up on the practice squad that would be fine too.

If the Redskins get all, or most, of their injured players back from last year and compliment it with the kind of talent a draft like this would represent I would have to wholeheartedly disagree with all the pessimists that are already speaking about this Redskins team as cellar dwellers in the NFC East. It is inevitable, after all, that one of these years the team is not going to lose half of it’s starters to injury.
