Marquise Brown (WR, Oklahoma)

Now if it’s speed the Bears are looking for, then they are definitely keeping tabs on Marquise Brown. Everybody knows how fearful defenses can be of fast receivers. The Bears have one already in Taylor Gabriel. So imagine if they had two. It’s hard to stop something like that. Marquise Brown is that sort of Desean Jackson-type of a receiver. A true vertical threat who is a danger to score every time he touches the football.

His first year as a starter in 2017, he cracked 1,000 yards despite catching just 57 passes. His problems right now are two-fold. He’s only 5’10 and skinny, which brings his ability to handle press coverage into question. The second is he pulled up lame at the end of the season with a foot injury for Oklahoma. So teams now really have to question whether his body can hold up to the pounding of the NFL.
