Jay Ajayi

The Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in a tough financial situation. Odds are they won’t be using the limited funds they have to re-sign a running back who has a history of health issues. Jay Ajayi is another of those players who is a clear difference-maker in terms of his talent, but only when he’s able to stay on the football field. A frustrating dice roll every year.

He missed seven games as a rookie. Then in 2016, he was a Pro Bowler with 1,272 yards and eight touchdowns. A year later he regressed in Miami, gets traded to the Eagles and averages 5.8 yards per carry while helping them win the Super Bowl. Then last season he’s done for the year after just four games. So yeah. If the Bears are the gambling type, he’s a name to pursue.
