I’m personally in favor of the move. The Bears needed somebody with credentials to replace a respected figure like Vic Fangio. They couldn’t have done much better than Chuck Pagano. The man is widely respected throughout the league, known for his detailed approach and ability to motivate his players. His aggressive style, as crazy as it sounds, might actually end up being an even better fit for the talent this team has in place. Pagano was a head coach for six years. He knows how to run his own ship. Nagy is wise to trust in him just like he did Vic.

I said earlier that my top target is Landon Collins. His combination with Eddie Jackson would be ridiculous in terms of the possibilities. That said, I have a hard time believing the Giants let him walk. So in the event he is off the market, I’d go after Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Think about it. He’s former teammates at Alabama with Jackson. He is a former Pro Bowler and he’d be coming in with a monumental chip on his shoulder, anxious to get revenge on his former team the Green Bay Packers who traded him last year.

Also don’t forget that Pagano is a defensive back specialist and he should be able to fix whatever has ailed Clinton-Dix the past couple of seasons.
