I am staunchly in the camp of not drafting specialists. Sure, there’s a strong chance of getting somebody good but then again remember this. Of the 10 highest-scoring NFL kickers in history, three of them went undrafted. Another in Matt Stover was drafted in the 12th round. So he would’ve gone undrafted today. Robbie Gould, whom everybody adores? He was undrafted. The Bears should be able to find themselves a good kicker after the draft. Save one of those five picks for other areas of need.

Honestly, I would say tight end. Other people may be satisfied with the combination of Adam Shaheen and Trey Burton. I am not. Shaheen has proven at this point he’s too soft for the NFL game due to both injuries and not being able to assert his clear size superiority. As for Burton, he’s a nice utility player but he disappears for too many stretches during games. Never mind his apparent issues with anxiety when faced with big moments. Nagy needs a genuine weapon at that position. He needs his Travis Kelce or somebody of that mold.
