Demarcus Lawrence signs with Indianapolis Colts

It’s clear the Dallas Cowboys have control of what happens to Demarcus Lawrence at this point. They could just franchise tag him again, but that would cost a ton of money. Lawrence has played well enough to state his case for being the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL. Will Jerry Jones be willing to meet that price? Only he can answer that question. One thing is for sure though. If he won’t, the Indianapolis Colts sure will.

They have the most cap space of any team in the league going into this offseason and a glaring hole at the edge rusher position. Considering their defense was already pretty good without one. Just imagine what would happen if they inserted a Pro Bowler like Lawrence into that slot. They would be one of the top contenders to knock off the Patriots in the AFC.
