There are always players who come out of the woodwork and play very well in the Super Bowl. Whose turn is it this time around?
The Super Bowl is a grand spectacle. Every year, over 110 million Americans and many more worldwide tune in to watch the final game of the NFL season. All eyes are glued to the TV to watch the next heroes emerge to claim a championship.
While eyes turn to the game, players often bring their best to the most important tilt of the year, especially players who fly under the radar. It is almost as much tradition as the game itself for a relative unknown to emerge and have a great game.
Looking back to previous Super Bowls, it’s easy to notice the trend. Who can forget David Tyree making the helmet catch back in February of 2008 (he also had a touchdown in that game)?
Tracy Porter came up clutch for the Saints back in Super Bowl 44 with a pick six. Panthers defensive end Kony Ealy had a huge game three years ago with a pick and three sacks. Wisconsin running backs James White and Corey Clement were huge for their teams in the last two big games.
Who will it be this time around? Here are five guys who fit the bill.
