4. Donte Moncrief, Jacksonville Jaguars

Age: 25

Statistically, Donte Moncrief did not prove himself worthy of a $9.6 million price tag this past season in Jacksonville.

With the Jags, Moncrief saw the most targets he’s seen (89) since the 2015 season, his second in the league.

It’s highly unlikely Moncrief is going to return to the Jaguars especially at that kind of price tag, but over the past two seasons, he’s become a better player despite not having Andrew Luck throwing him the ball.

It was the connection Moncrief had with Luck that really paved the way for his getting paid $9.6 million on a one-year deal with the Jaguars this past season. But Moncrief didn’t have Luck in 2017 with the Colts and he didn’t have anything close in 2018 with the Jaguars either.

Moncrief has never looked like a true number one receiver in the NFL but can be a high quality number two and is capable of making big plays in an offense with strong, established quarterback play.

He should look at the opportunities that may be available in New England or possibly his first NFL team, the Colts.
