Tyrod Taylor enters 2019 free agency as one of the most underrated options on the market. Which teams should be considered favorites to sign him?

The 2019 NFL Free Agency period doesn’t get underway until mid-March, but that time will be here before you know it and teams are obviously already making plans of how they can move forward this year to compete with the likes of the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams.

We took a look at some of the top quarterbacks available in free agency this year, and while writing it I am pretty sure I convinced myself that Tyrod Taylor is one of the more underrated players heading into the entire free agency period.

Taylor earned a Pro Bowl nod in his time with the Buffalo Bills and helped lead the team to a playoff appearance in 2017, their first since the 1999 season.

Taylor has 53 career touchdown passes, 20 interceptions, and 16 career rushing touchdowns.

At the age of 29, Taylor has a career résumé many NFL teams should be coveting, but there has been very little hype surrounding him heading into the 2019 offseason.

If Baker Mayfield was afforded the benefit of the doubt when Hue Jackson left and Freddie Kitchens started calling plays, shouldn’t Taylor be afforded the same?

This is a guy who is going to come in and make very few mistakes, and someone who can elevate a team on the verge of postseason play. With that being said, I think there are three very clear fits in the NFL right now for Taylor’s services, teams who have a need at quarterback and a motivation to win right away rather than throw a rookie into the fire immediately.
