2019 NFL Mock Draft: Senior Bowl bumps stock for some top prospects
Adderley didn’t face top competition weekly in college, so he really opened eyes at the 2019 Senior Bowl with his ability to fly around the field and play with great physicality and toughness.
The Seattle Seahawks could be losing Earl Thomas to free agency this offseason, so they will likely be in the market for a player to come in and replace him. That’s a tall task for Adderley but he has some awesome tape out there and is one player rising high on just about everyone’s draft board.
The Ravens’ lack of production at wide receiver over the past few seasons is startling. They need someone who can come in and make an instant impact, and Harmon is that type of guy.
He bailed Ryan Finley out of a lot of iffy throws at North Carolina State, and established himself as one of the top players in the country at his position with the ability to win contested catch situations and make big plays after the catch.
The Houston Texans need to do whatever they can this offseason to get DeShaun Watson better protection. Taylor was a three-year starter for Florida and had a phenomenal 2018 campaign for them.
He could start for Houston immediately at the right tackle spot.
After adding one of the best playmakers in the Big Ten on defense earlier in this mock draft, the Oakland Raiders come back by adding one of the conference’s top pass catching options.
Noah Fant is a dynamic athlete and would be an ideal replacement if the Raiders lose Jared Cook to free agency this offseason.
The Eagles struggled at the wide receiver position this past season, even using a third-round pick to acquire Golden Tate for just a few games.
Brown is one of the most electrifying big-play threats in this entire draft class. His speed at receiver for the Eagles would really open things up for their offense.
The Colts were the most improved team in the NFL this past season and they had a phenomenal draft class. Their defense still needs some pieces, though, and Deandre Baker here in the later portion of the first round is a steal.
Baker was a shutdown player for the Bulldogs and would pencil in as a CB1 right away as a rookie.
The Raiders took Rashan Gary and Noah Fant earlier in this draft, and they get perhaps their best value here in the later portion of the first-round with safety Deionte Thompson.
This Raiders defense struggled to create turnovers this past year, and having a guy like Gary up front will help, but they also need some playmakers on the back end of that defense. Thompson would be a solid fit for them.
The Chargers fortify the interior of their already stacked defense by getting big Dexter Lawrence, a dancing bear at 6-foot-5, 340 pounds.
Lawrence would make the Chargers’ defense terrifying with the players they have on the edge in Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa.
The Chiefs need to take the best defensive player on their board here, preferably at cornerback.
Lucky for them, Greedy Williams’ stock right now is pretty low. For a guy who was once considered a possible top five lock, this is a really fortuitous spot for the Chiefs to grab him.
If they could get this caliber of a playmaker at cornerback at pick number 29, they should feel pretty good about whatever else happens in this draft.
After snagging Ed Oliver earlier in the first-round, the Packers come away with a more traditional edge player and pass rusher here in Jachai Polite.
Polite exploded this past season with 19.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles at Florida.
