Chicago Bears 2019 Mock Draft: Post-Senior Bowl shuffle

5th round
The Bears have made it clear time and again they’re looking for more explosion and versatility at the running back position. Why else would they continue the Taquan Mizzell experiment even when it was clearly detrimental to their overall offensive plans? Matt Nagy wants another Kareem Hunt-type of player who can be both a runner and a threat as a receiver out of the backfield. If signing Hunt is out of the question, then it’s almost guaranteed they took notice of Tony Pollard.
The Memphis running back was a big play waiting to happen during his time in school. He only touched the ball 243 times in three years on offense but scored 18 touchdowns. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry on the ground and caught 104 passes. Pollard was also one of the best kick returners in the country with seven touchdowns. There is a ton of unexplored capability in that young man and there’s no doubt he’d love to be reunited with Anthony Miller.
