Chicago Bears 2019 Mock Draft: Post-Senior Bowl shuffle

If there is a player that will be classified as the most frustrating in the scouting community for this draft, Joe Jackson is probably up there. The Miami defensive end has flashed a ton of pass rush potential throughout his college run. He had 8.5 sacks in 2018 but he has never been able to produce that expected breakout year. It’s hard to understand why. Size? Speed? Strength? Quickness? He has all the tools but can’t seem to unlock their full potential.
The Bears should be able to help with that issue. Their new linebackers coach Ted Monachino is a pass rush specialist. This will be a solid move in every respect. Chicago is thin at outside linebacker behind Khalil Mack and Leonard Floyd. Aaron Lynch will be a free agent this year. Sam Acho could be released. Isaiah Irving and Kylie Fitts haven’t shown much capacity for being that #3 rusher. Jackson has the physical upside to be that and more.
