The 2019 Senior Bowl is underway and players got the chance to show NFL executives and scouts what they can do in a unique practice environment.

The 2019 Senior Bowl practices are underway and prospects are getting the chance to perform in front of the league’s top executives and scouts in a unique practice environment where every rep matters.

This year’s Senior Bowl crop doesn’t boast a player who will contend for the top overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft like last year’s did (Baker Mayfield) but this group has some intriguing talent on both rosters and on both sides of the ball.

The clear winner of day one of the Senior Bowl practices was Mississippi State pass rusher Montez Sweat, who picked up right where he left off at the end of the Bulldogs’ season against Iowa in the Outback Bowl.

He was absolutely punishing offensive linemen on day one of practices.

Sweat checked in at Senior Bowl weigh-ins at 6-foot-6, 252 pounds with 35 5/8-inch arms. That kind of wingspan is quite literally unheard of in today’s NFL and Sweat knows how to use it to his advantage.

He came into this week as a top 25 player overall and will leave it perhaps even higher.
