#3: Alshon Jeffery

Jeffery has made loads of big catches for the Philadelphia Eagles the past two years since signing with them. One thing he was known for throughout that time was a pair of reliable hands. He never ever drops passes that are in any way catchable. He only had one the entire 2018 season and had a catch rate of 71%, which is the sixth-best among all wide receivers who caught at least 90 passes this season. The guy is supposed to be automatic.

So to have a pass go directly through his hands on the biggest drive of the season. The one that win or lose his team the game? There isn’t much anybody can say. It’s not like the through was just out of his reach. The ball was placed about as perfectly as Nick Foles could’ve, in stride with a chance to run after the catch. Jeffery reached out and it went directly between his hands and into the waiting arms of the Saints defense.
