2019 Senior Bowl: Little known prospects who can make some noise
Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo
The quarterback position is always in focus at the Senior Bowl, no matter how good the class is perceived to be from the outside.
One of the most physically impressive quarterback prospects to come to the game this year is fourth-year junior Tyree Jackson of the Buffalo Bulls program.
Jackson finished his junior season completing just 55.3 percent of his passes but racked up 3,131 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Some are comparing Jackson this year to the type of athlete Paxton Lynch was coming out of Memphis.
Jackson toyed with the idea of transferring to a Power Five school before ultimately deciding on the NFL Draft, and the hype on him right now is pretty low. It’s going to require a strong offseason for him to impress some team to take him in the top five rounds, otherwise he will have a long developmental road ahead of him.
While he’s getting an important head start by moving on to the NFL right now, is he really ready? Would a move to a big time school have helped his draft stock?
The Senior Bowl is going to be such a huge process for Jackson but he is very physically gifted, so he has a chance to come away from this thing a major winner.
