Defense: Stock up

Daniel Wise, DL, Kansas

The big 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive lineman and team captain from Kansas has been turning heads at Shrine week, as if his consistent production for the Jayhawks didn’t already speak for itself.

Over the past two seasons, he racked up 10 sacks and 28 tackles for loss, proving himself to be a terror for opposing interior linemen.

His brother, Deatrich, plays for the New England Patriots.

Daylon Mack, DL, Texas A&M

Daylon Mack did so well at Shrine practices that he got a call-up from the Senior Bowl as well.

The former top prospect coming out of high school underachieved over the course of his first couple of years at Texas A&M but had a breakout senior season with 5.5 sacks at 6-foot-1, 320 pounds.

He was a force all week at practices and may see the most significant rise of any prospect at the event this season.

Tim Harris, CB, Virginia

Harris is a very rare sixth-year player for the Cavaliers who was a reserve for them all the way back in 2013.

Injuries will obviously be a major focus for NFL teams here but Harris improved his stock during Shrine practices according to those in attendance, standing out in terms of his size and ability to play press as well as close on the football.

If Harris can show out at the Scouting Combine and his medicals come back fine, he could be a steal on day three.
