This week in The Friday Five, it’s all about the Senior Bowl and conference championships.

Welcome back to The Friday Five! If you’re new, here’s how it goes. Five different topics will be covered here, with five thoughts on each of those topics.

Yes, a little math on a Friday. It’s okay though, I know you can manage.

This is a big week because next week is the best part about the pre-draft process: The Senior Bowl. The best seniors in the country will be gathering down in Mobile, Alabama for some practices and a game with NFL coaching staffs leading the way.

It’s a jam-packed week of prospects, podcasts, and connections, and I am lucky enough to be attending.

Not only that, but the NFL’s conference title games are this weekend as well. So buckle up, because The Friday Five has everything you could want with the Senior Bowl and Super Bowl berths on the line. Here we go!

Five Prospects I’m Most Excited To Watch In Mobile

  • Charles Omenihu, DL, Texas – There has been a ton of hype surrounding Omenihu. He’s kind of a tweener listed at 275 pounds, so there is question as to where he will play at the next level. His physical traits along with his quickness and power will be fun to watch in one-on-ones against offensive linemen.
  • Gerald Willis III, DL, Miami – Willis is a game-wrecker at defensive tackle, and he had an excellent last year at Miami. A good week in Mobile could push him up a tier in the loaded defensive line class.
  • Anthony Nelson, EDGE, Iowa – A late add to the roster, Anthony Nelson is great at trimming the edge and using his hands to get linemen off balance. He isn’t a superb athlete but will get plenty of attention all week.
  • Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State – As far as the linemen class goes, there are only a few plug-and-play starters. With Yodny Cajuste deciding against coming, Andre Dillard becomes the top tackle in Mobile. He did a great job protecting Gardner Minshew all season long, and is one of the best technicians at offensive tackle.
  • Oshane Ximines, EDGE, Old Dominion – Another player who’s gotten a ton of hype coming into Mobile, Ximines is a quick and powerful edge rusher who has a knack for being around the ball. He hasn’t faced real top-tier competition, so this is a big week for him.
