Dream realistic offseason?

I need to be careful here not to get bogged down in details too much so I’ll try to keep it brief. The Bears re-sign Bryce Callahan, Bobby Massie, Roy Robertson-Harris, and Bryan Witzmann. They land Markus Golden and Stephen Gostkowski in free agency to bolster their pass rush and improve their kicking game. Then in the draft, they secure a dynamic running back and another athletic defensive back with their first two picks. I think they would be in great shape after that.

Do you think that without the pre-season cost Mack some late-season slowdown?

Look Mack may not have had a sack in his final three games but let’s not immediately assume he slowed down. The guy had 17 total pressures including five hits on opposing quarterbacks during that span. He was getting plenty of heat. The opponents were just fortunate to get the ball out before he finished the play. There is no reason to be concerned about Mack’s conditioning. He never stopped being a factor.
