The loss of Kyle Williams is a big blow to the middle of that Buffalo Bills defense. Given how important a three-technique pass rusher to a 4-3 system, it’s going to be a priority for them to fill. The question becomes how they plan to do so. Odds are they’ll take advantage of a strong draft class, but don’t think for a second the Bills might pass up trade opportunities. One name they may find worth taking a risk on is former 1st round pick Robert Nkemdich.

It seemed like he finally found a system he could thrive in under Steve Wilks, collecting 4.5 sacks in 2018 after zero the previous two years. He also did that in just 10 games. The problem is his availability has been an issue, and with the team expected to return to a 3-4 scheme it’s possible they may decide to simply cut their losses. Odds are the Bills could get him for a rather cheap deal with still considerable upside to explore.
