Tevin Coleman (RB)

Jordan Howard seemed to finally be coming to life late in the season for the Bears after a strong game to end the regular season. Then he was almost a non-factor against the Eagles with 10 carries for 35 yards. He wasn’t used much outside of that because of his lack of explosiveness as a pass catcher. It’s clear he has a defined role in the offense and when it’s not running the ball, the team isn’t going to do much more with him.

This puts his future in Chicago in doubt. Is it possible the team might seek out a back who can be a more versatile threat in this scheme? If so, then Tevin Coleman would be the likely guy they want. Sure Le’Veon Bell would be ideal but there’s almost no way they can afford his price. Coleman has done quite well in Atlanta. He’s a big back with good speed that knows how to get downhill but also has the hands and quickness to be an effective receiving option.
