Super Bowl: New Orleans Saints vs. New England Patriots

The young generation may be on the rise so one might call this the “Last Battle of the Old Guard.” Drew Brees vs. Tom Brady. Two future Hall of Famers finally locking horns right before they ride off into the sunset to get their gold jackets. People have waited way too long for this matchup and it seems fitting to come in the eleventh hour. The question becomes which quarterback has enough gas in the tank to make that final push?

Bill Belichick has been on this stage so many times. It’s hard to imagine he’ll be phased in any way by the glitz and glamour at this point. Most of the players on his roster can say the same. Meanwhile, every player on that Saints team except Brees will be experiencing this for the first time. That said, Sean Payton proved nine years ago he could deliver on the big stage. He’s been coaching with a chip on his shoulder all season long. This is a wild matchup that could go any number of ways.
