NFL Playoff Predictions: Going all the way to Super Bowl LIII

AFC Divisional round
Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots
If the Chargers want to prove they’re the real deal, then the only way to do that is by beating the Patriots in Foxborough. It doesn’t happen a lot in general but much less in the playoffs. The last team to do so was the Ravens back in 2012. Rivers knows this well. The closest he ever got to a Super Bowl was 2007 and that dream ended in that same stadium. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will be ready as they always are. They won’t show mercy if L.A. fails to show up.

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes was magnificent in 2018, becoming the third player to ever reach 50 touchdown passes. That’s all fine and good, but this is where people will really judge him. Can he do the same in the playoffs? No team has tortured the Chiefs over the years more than the Colts. Since 1996, the two teams have played four times in the postseason. Four times Indianapolis emerged victorious. This is the Chiefs’ best chance to break that streak.
