Which QB has the most to prove on Wild Card weekend?
By Joel Deering
2. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys
Being a starting QB for any NFL team puts a lot of weight on a QBs shoulders, but being the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys makes that weight even greater. Prescott has been heavily scrutinized throughout the course of the last two seasons because he hasn’t been as good as he was during his rookie year.
Prescott finished his rookie season with a passer rating of 104.9, but that passer rating dropped to 86.6 in his second season. Dak improved this year, finishing with a passer rating of 96.9, but he has been inconsistent at times.
Prescott led the Cowboys to a record of 13-3 and the number one overall seed in the NFC during his rookie season, only to lose in their first playoff game.
After just missing out on the playoffs last season, Prescott has the Cowboys back in the hunt for a Super Bowl. This is his second playoff appearance. His defense has been outstanding all season long.
He has Amari Cooper. He has the NFL’s leading rusher in Ezekiel Elliott. Prescott must get his team a win on Wild Card weekend. If Dak can lead the Cowboys to a win or two in the playoffs this season, he may actually quiet those who say he’s not the guy in Dallas.
