6. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

I personally feel like Lamar Jackson doesn’t have anything to prove this postseason. You could say he needs to prove he can be a better passer, but the fact is that he’s not a great passer. Despite not being a great passer, Jackson has earned a 6-1 record as a starting QB in the NFL so far.

Can Jackson prove he can win not just in the regular season, but in the postseason too? Jackson will need to prove he can win in the postseason, but he doesn’t have to prove that this year.

Lamar Jackson is a rookie. This is only the first time he’s ever played in an NFL playoff game. He’s going to be the youngest QB in NFL history to ever start a playoff game. Why does that mean he doesn’t have much to prove? If the Ravens lose on Wild Card weekend to the Chargers, Jackson still has his entire career ahead of him to win playoff games.

Since 1980, rookie QBs have a record of 8-16 in playoff games. That number means the expectation for Lamar Jackson to win a playoff game this season is even lower. Rookie QBs have historically not been good at winning playoff games. If Jackson doesn’t get the Ravens a win over the Chargers on Wild Card weekend, it’s not the end of the world for him.
