Green Bay Packers

Prediction: Josh McDaniels

Known Candidates: Jim Caldwell, Chuck Pagano, Josh McDaniels, Joe Philbin, Brian Flores, Dan Campbell, Pete Carmichael, Matt LaFleur, Mike Munchak

Josh McDaniels is still a coveted head coaching candidate, and this type of move would likely require some type of approval from Aaron Rodgers.

The last time McDaniels was hired as a head coach, he ousted a Pro Bowl quarterback while trying to implement his culture and system in Denver.

That simply can’t happen this time.

On paper, the opportunity to go from one legacy team in New England to another in Green Bay would seem foolish to pass up. McDaniels, however, has been very stingy about which teams he would even consider coaching going forward.

After his debacle in Denver and recent ditching of the Indianapolis Colts, McDaniels’ reputation from the outside is not great, but he’s still a highly sought after head coaching candidate.

The marriage between McDaniels and Rodgers would seem to be a very risky one, but there’s a chance it could also push the Packers over the top.
