07. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (2013)

Most people don’t remember this game. It’s not hard to see why. When the QB matchup is Nick Foles vs. Kyle Orton, a lot of people aren’t going to be tuning in. However, this game still meant a lot. It was for the NFC East title after all. If Philadelphia won they’d clinch it with a 10-6 record. If Dallas pulled it out, the two teams would have identical 9-7 records with the Cowboys holding the tiebreaker having beaten the Eagles twice that season.

The game was tight almost the entire way with the two teams swinging momentum back and forth between each other. Dallas narrowed the gap to 17-16 by the end of the 3rd quarter. Philadelphia scored a touchdown to make it 24-16 but then Dallas came back with a TD of their own to make it 24-22 with 3:50 left. A 2-point conversion could tie the game. The resulting play fell incomplete though.

After Philadelphia went three-and-out on their next possession, there was still almost two minutes left for the Cowboys to kick a field goal for the win. Sadly Orton threw his second interception of the game on the first play.
