No. 3: 2017 Philadelphia Eagles

The crazy thing about the three greatest worst-to-first teams in NFL history is they all have the same thing in common. Hopefully, you’ll pick up on it as the list winds down. This team was certainly something to watch. They were one of the favorites from early in 2017. The Eagles were talented bunch on both sides of the ball. An offense that thrived off big plays and a defense that suffocated the running game and applied lots of pressure on the quarterback.

Things appeared to take a turn for the worse when their star QB Carson Wentz tore his ACL late in the season. He’d been having an MVP run to that point. Now it fell to journeyman backup Nick Foles to try taking it the rest of the way. After an inauspicious beginning, he caught fire in the playoffs and Philadelphia rode the momentum all the way to a stunning 41-33 upset of the Patriots to win their first championship since 1960.

Considering they’d gone 6-10 just the year before? Amazing.
