Every single year, the NFL fails to vote all of the right players into the Pro Bowl. Who are this year’s biggest Pro Bowl snubs?

Every year, the NFL fails to vote all of its best and most deserving players into the Pro Bowl. The NFL was once a very prestigious honor for players and while it’s still reflective of mostly the best players in the game, there are certain times when the mark is just missed and players get voted in based on their popularity.

The event itself has lost its luster a bit, but it would be nice to see a list of players every once in a while the NFL fan base didn’t have to riot over.

There are Pro Bowl snubs every single year, but instead of picking some of the more obvious players this year, I really want to highlight some of the underrated (but very good) NFL players who deserved to be recognized among the NFL’s elite by being selected.

Here are some of the obvious players who were omitted and really deserved to be in the game.

Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints

Seriously, what are fans and other voters thinking here? Kamara is one of the league’s superstars. He had 1,487 yards from scrimmage this season and 16 total touchdowns. That’s the second-most touchdowns in the NFL this season.

Why is he not in the Pro Bowl?

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers

Christian McCaffrey’s 1,747 yards from scrimmage are the fourth-most in the NFL this season. He’s had a breakthrough year with the Panthers, and has a real chance to finish with at least 1,000 yards rushing and over 100 receptions.

He’s looking like the Christian McCaffrey we grew to love at Stanford.

Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers

Sticking with the NFC South theme, Mike Evans very clearly deserved a Pro Bowl bid especially with all of the production he had given the Bucs’ struggles at quarterback.

He’s averaging a career-high 17.9 yards per catch and 94.9 yards per game this season. His 1,328 yards in 14 games are also already a career high and he will have a chance to continue to build on it.

Now, let’s take a look at some of the underrated (younger) players who deserved a shot at the Pro Bowl this year.
