3. Kyler Murray, Oklahoma

28 career games (Texas A&M, 8; Oklahoma, 20 [24-4 overall record])

Will Kyler Murray take the $5 million bonus and start living the minor league baseball player’s life, or will he take a minimum $5 million bonus and potentially start for an NFL team?

The worst case scenario for Murray is that football would fail, and he would be able to go to baseball when he’s still in his mid-20s. There’s longevity in baseball and a lot more money, but there is no guarantee of success in either the MLB or NFL for Murray, though he certainly looks like he could do either one.

The Heisman Trophy winning quarterback filled in for Baker Mayfield this season and really ignited the Oklahoma offense, in ways not even Mayfield could.

Murray had 51 total touchdowns for the Sooners this season, leading them to a CFB Playoff appearance and forcing many to wonder whether or not he should give football a try professionally.

He’s only 5-foot-11, but Murray’s size has never hindered his ability to play at a high level, and that’s the first thing I look for.

Even if Murray does declare for the 2019 NFL Draft, would a team use a first-round pick on him? It would be tough to justify considering how quickly he could jump ship and go play baseball, but this kid has legitimate starter tools for the next level.

He can push the ball to any level of the field. He’s got phenomenal mobility. He’s accurate to all levels. He’s such a natural athlete with a great feel for the game and it would be a shame if this year were the end of his football playing days.
