Cam Newton: Loser

Newton and his Panthers got off to a hot start in 2018, sitting at 6-2 through the first eight games. They now find them selves in a nasty five game losing streak. A large part of that blame falls on the back of Cam Newton. In the last five games, Newton has thrown eight interceptions and just nine touchdowns.

Sunday was not different for the Panthers. They struggled to get anything going on offense outside of Christian McCaffrey. We saw decent receiving days from rookie tight end Ian Thomas and second year man Curtis Samuel. However, the Panthers could not get anything into the end zone through the air.

Had it not been for McCaffrey sneaking into the end zone twice, this game could’ve been much uglier. If the Panthers want any chance of saving their playoff hopes, they must get something going from Newton through the air. He gets a shot in primetime next week versus the Saints.
