With the Ravens at 7-5 and in the sixth spot for the AFC playoffs, should Baltimore choose Jackson or Flacco to lead a Ravens playoff run?
As Joe Flacco gets closer to returning from a hip injury which sidelined him for three weeks, the QB situation for the Baltimore Ravens seems unclear. Despite the Ravens drafting Lamar Jackson in the first-round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Joe Flacco entered the season as the starting QB.
Jackson played very few snaps for most of the season until Flacco went out with a hip injury. As Jackson has made the most of his time filling in for Flacco, it’s starting to become more clear he’s the future at QB for this Baltimore team.
With Jackson’s promising start and Flacco’s return from injury, the Ravens have an interesting decision to make as they prepare to make a playoff run. Is Jackson or Flacco going to be their starter the rest of the season? Who is more likely to lead a Ravens playoff run?
Initially I had trouble deciding who I’d rather have as the starting QB if I were a Ravens fan. How did I decide? I went to the numbers. Here you’ll find a breakdown of the numbers for each Ravens QB, along with a case for each one to be the starter to lead a Ravens playoff run. We’ll start with the rookie.
