The most important part of the Packers regime change now rests with hiring the right coach to pair with Aaron Rodgers. Ideally, an offensive mind would come in and revamp the offense, adding things Rodgers prefers along with helping him play more in structure. It’s hard to get into a rhythm with so much improvisation, a problem that existed a ton this season.

Who are some candidates that make sense? John Harbaugh, should he be let go by Baltimore, and Matt Campbell would be great options for the Packers. Harbaugh has won a Super Bowl with the Ravens, and Campbell has done excellent at Iowa State. Both guys would have to bring in an offensive coordinator.

Kliff Kingsbury would’ve been a great option, but he chose USC. It’s possible someone like Matt LaFleur would take a chance to build a resume with Rodgers and use it as a stepping stone for a future head coaching gig.

The other route the Packers can go (and most likely will go) is to find someone with offensive prowess to be the head coach. Two big names are on the radar at this point, with a couple others right behind. Both Josh McDaniels and Lincoln Riley are favorites to be the head coach per Vegas odds.

McDaniels getting a chance to revive the Green Bay offense may be too much to refuse, and reports are that many people would jump at the chance to be on his staff. It would take a lot to get Riley, but the Packers organization and culture would be intriguing.

No matter who it is, Green Bay needs someone who will be a strong leaders with offensive innovators.
