The 2019 wide receiver class gets stronger with both N.C. State’s Kelvin Harmon and Ole Miss’ A.J. Brown, declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft.
The two juniors declared this week on Twitter as they join Ole Miss receiver D.K. Metcalf and Arizona State receiver N’Keal Harry to make up a very promising 2019 wide receiver class.
Both should be first-round picks as they had over 1,000 yards in 2018 and were leading receivers on their respective teams.
Brown was named First-Team All-SEC and Harmon was named First-Team All-ACC this week for the 2018 season. Harmon will not play in the Gator Bowl vs. Texas A&M and Brown played in the Egg Bowl vs. Mississippi State last week.
A.J. Brown led the SEC in 2018 in receiving yards for Ole Miss as a junior with 85 catches, 1320 yards, and 6 touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he also was First-Team SEC as he had 75 catches; 1,252 yards, and 11 touchdowns last year.
The 6’1″ 230 lb. receiver has 189 catches; 2,984 yards, and 19 catches in his career with the Rebels. Brown and Metcalf, who also declared but had his redshirt sophomore season cut short due to a neck injury.
The two Ole Miss receivers were some of the most explosive wide receiver duos in the nation and will both enter the 2019 NFL Draft together as potential day one selections. Brown could be a good slot receiver in the NFL as he possesses great route running as a bigger threat near the middle of the field.

Kelvin Harmon finished his career with N.C. State as one of the top five receivers in school history with 177 catches; 2,665 yards, and 16 touchdowns in three years. The 6’3″ 214 pound receiver was Second-Team ACC in 2017 and led the ACC in receiving yards with 1,186 yards.
He also had 81 catches and seven touchdowns this year as he had 69 catches and 1,017 yards last year in his sophomore year. Harmon has the size and speed to dominate at the next level as an outside receiver at the next level.
Both receivers have production the last two years as junior receivers that have incredible upside in the NFL as high draft picks in 2019.
