Executive of the Year:  Ryan Pace (Chicago Bears)

Last year ended as a third-straight losing season for Bears GM Ryan Pace. Not only that but his offseason work that year came under heavy criticism with flops like Mike Glennon and Markus Wheaton headlining his efforts. He needed to rebound fast in 2018 or could see his job put in jeopardy. The job he pulled off from January to September was one for the history books. He hired Nagy as head coach. Then he signed Allen Robinson in free agency, drafted Roquan Smith and Anthony Miller, and then traded for Khalil Mack. Oh and he retained Kyle Fuller too. Superb work.

Closest threat – Chris Ballard of the Indianapolis Colts. From a current Bear to a former Bear. Ballard was a longtime scout in Chicago before becoming a top executive in Kansas City. The Colts made him their GM last year and he proceeded to start cleaning up the mess left by Ryan Grigson. His moves in 2018 have yielded excellent results. Frank Reich has the team playing with so much more confidence and efficiency. Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith solidified the offensive line. Leonard is a budding star at linebacker. Kemeko Turay has four sacks and Nyheim Hines had over 500 yards from scrimmage.
