A three round pick by pick mock for the Denver Broncos. How can the Broncos attack their needs in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.

After an up and down season, the Denver Broncos find themselves in the middle of a three game win streak. After falling to 3-6, the Broncos rallied off three wins to put themselves back into Wild Card contention.

On the shoulders of rookie Phillip Lindsay, the offense is starting to find an identity as the improved run game is helping quarterback Case Keenum. As of today, the Broncos hold the 19th pick in the upcoming 2019 NFL draft.

Round 1, Pick 19

Deandre Baker – CB – Georgia

Losing star corner Aqib Talib before the beginning of the season is definitely not going unnoticed. The Broncos defense is giving up the 25th most passing yards on the season through 13 weeks.

Week 13 also saw star corner Chris Harris Jr. leave the game with what is believed to be a broken fibula. With no issues rushing the passer, the Broncos biggest need going into next year will be their next long-term lock down corner to replace Talib.

Baker will enter the draft as one of the highest ranked defensive backs along with LSU’s Greedy Williams. Baker is one of Pro Football Focus’ highest graded college corners and is allowing just a 35.5 passer rating when targeted.

Baker is projected all over the place in the first round. And with loads of defensive line and offensive line talent also projected in the first round, there is a real chance Baker slides to the Broncos at 19. If Deandre is available, it should be a no brainer for Denver to select him as their next elite shut down corner.
