Zach Zenner (RB)

It’s really felt like the Detroit Lions haven’t figured out how to use Zach Zenner properly. The kid has obvious skills for playing offense but their system just hasn’t been creative enough to exploit them to the fullest. His mix of quickness, acceleration and receiving prowess have made him a dangerous weapon every time they’ve bothered to feature him a bit more in the game plan. Think about it like this.

Zenner, in his career, has touched the ball at least 10 times in a game four times. In those five games, he had 65 total touches for 316 yards and three touchdowns. He’s averaging 10.05 yards per catch for his career. This 27-year old kid has value even if the Lions refuse to utilize it. He’s averaging seven yards per carry in 2018. With Kerryon Johnson in place, this will be his last year in Detroit. The Bears could make much better use of him.
