Dirk Koetter (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

It seems Tampa Bay finally seems to have found its footing. Jameis Winston is playing well and they’ve won a couple of games. Here’s the problem. It’s way too late. The Buccaneers are all but out of the playoff picture again and blew several opportunities to avoid this earlier in the season. Even if they finish strong, it’s in a pointless struggle with nothing to lose.

Dirk Koetter is out of excuses. He’s had three years to get this thing off the ground and coaches a team that is not playing up to their talent level with enough consistency. He hasn’t made the playoffs and has had one winning season. It’s hard to envision a scenario in which he manages to keep his job. Not unless he has the Marvin Lewis touch.
