Alabama Players To Watch

QB Tua Tagovailoa – Everything on offense for the Crimson Tide begins and ends with the sophomore quarterback out of Hawaii. This season, Tagovailoa has passed for 3,189 yards with 36 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

He is second in the country in yards per pass attempt and tied for fourth in the country in touchdown passes. As far as quarterback ratings go, Tagovailoa leads the country at 212.5.

Basically, there is a reason why he is considered a Heisman favorite in the eyes of many. His ability to get into rhythm early is important as is his ability to gash the Georgia defense with his scrambling and rushing skills.

WRs Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III – The combination of Jeudy and Ruggs have been stellar this season for Alabama and the two have a combined 21 touchdown receptions.

The two also averaged 19.3 and 17.3 yards per reception respectively. The Georgia secondary has a very good corner on one side in DeAndre Baker but the secondary as a whole has given up a few plays this season in the air.

Which is exactly how Alabama has attacked defenses this season.

DTs Quinnen Williams, Isaiah Buggs – It seems every season, Alabama has defensive linemen that are disruptive. This season, those defensive linemen for the Crimson Tide are Williams and Buggs and both are aggressive and mainstays in the opponents backfield.

The two have 28.5 tackles for loss between them as well as 16.5 sacks. Keeping one at bay has been a task for most this season but if both are on their A-game against Georgia, it is going to be tough for the Bulldogs to get anything going on offense.
