7. New York Jets (via JAX)

EDGE. Kentucky. Josh Allen . 7. player. 30.

The New York Jets have been desperately searching for an edge rusher to compliment Leonard Williams for a long time now. They tried to trade for Khalil Mack before the season but Chicago got there first. In truth, this team hasn’t had a presence on the edge for years. Whether Todd Bowles is gone or not, it’s a problem they’ve waited long enough to try fixing. Josh Allen looked at first like a player who’d probably be more of an inside linebacker with his speed and range. Then he added a few pounds and has become a dynamic pass rusher for Kentucky this year with 11 sacks and counting. He looks like a classic 3-4 outside linebacker from the athleticism to the length and speed.
