The injury to Corey Liuget underscores how thing the Chargers are on the interior of their defensive front. They have their edge rushers but in order to bring it together they have to find some sort of difference-maker at defensive tackle. Derrick Brown is mostly known for his tremendous power and ability to stop the run at this point. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s something the Chargers need more of. However, he’s got some athletic ability as an interior rusher that has flashed more than once. Gus Bradley could be just the guy to unlock that hidden potential.
