Patrick Mahomes proves Drew Brees is the NFL MVP in MNF loss

Mahomes’ Flaw is Brees’ Gain
How many times this season have we seen Drew Brees throw multiple INTs? Zero. How many times have we seen Brees throw an INT with the game on the line? Zero. How many INTs has Brees thrown this season? One. His team won that game by a comfortable 10 points.
By giving the ball away to the other team multiple times during the course of a game, Patrick Mahomes is strengthening the case for Drew Brees to be named NFL MVP. Of all the quarterbacks who have started every game this season, Drew Brees leads them all in least amount of INTs thrown, tied with Aaron Rodgers.
While Patrick Mahomes has two games with six TD passes and Drew Brees has none, Brees has nine games without an INT while Mahomes has five. Brees doesn’t have a single game with multiple INTs. Mahomes has three.
Patrick Mahomes may be putting up the crazy passing yards and TDs, but Drew Brees is making history of his own. The current record for completion percentage in a season is 72 percent. That record is owned by Drew Brees. This season, Brees is smashing his current record by having completed 76.9 percent of his passes through 10 games.
Drew Brees may not be the popular choice for NFL MVP, but he’s the more deserving player.
Who would you choose as the NFL MVP right now? Patrick Mahomes or Drew Brees?
