The Chiefs excel defensively at creating turnovers and getting to the quarterback, but their run defense is pathetic.

The Chiefs have allowed 5.1 yards per carry to opposing runners in nine games this season, allowing 1,217 yards in that same time span. They need some playmakers against the run to complement their stellar group of pass rushers, and Willis could very well be part of the solution.

In just two seasons with Miami, Willis has become a star in the ACC and has 17 tackles for loss this season as a senior for the Hurricanes.

If the Chiefs just sit back in this year’s draft and let one of the talented interior defensive linemen fall to them, they should come away absolutely thrilled. They didn’t have a first-round pick in 2018 because of the Patrick Mahomes trade, but I don’t think anyone is complaining about that.
