Deshaun Watson is a great young quarterback. He remains the consummate winner he’s been since his time at Clemson. However, he’s also the go-for-broke player he was back then too.
His tendency to hold the ball and dive around trying to make plays is getting him hit a lot, and hit hard. It hasn’t helped that the offensive line has played poorly for long stretches of the season. They desperately need reinforcements.
Dalton Risner is exactly the sort of player they want. He’s a strong pass-protecting tackle who can remain on the edge if needed but has the skill set to move inside anywhere from guard to center depending on the need. Don’t underestimate his run blocking prowess too, it can show up at opportune times.
