CB. Washington. Byron Murphy. 19. player. 36.

The days of the Legion of Boom are gone, but the Seattle Seahawks’ defense has managed to at least somewhat maintain a level of strong, consistent play in 2018.

Their defensive backfield is missing Earl Thomas, which is a huge loss over the long haul, and it would be a shocker if he returned to the Seahawks next season.

Shaquill Griffin is a strong building block for the Seattle secondary but adding another playmaker to the other side of the field would be huge for them.

Murphy is just a redshirt sophomore but he’s showing signs of being a potential shutdown player at the cornerback position with 47 tackles, 12 pass breakups, an interception, a forced fumble, and four tackles for loss so far this season.

The Seahawks have needs elsewhere on the roster, but this would be a great value in the first round.
