Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Week 11 prediction
By Erik Lambert
X-factors:
Kirk Cousins – The Vikings quarterback is an Illinois native. He grew up watching the Bears. That might explain why he’s performed well both times he’s appeared at Soldier Field with a 104 rating combined from the two games and a 2-0 record. A big reason for his success was Chicago’s inability to stop the run, and he was able to kill them off play action. Flipping the script this time will depend on their retooled inside linebackers.
Trey Burton – Minnesota has a strong defense. Everybody knows this. It is not perfect though. There are vulnerabilities. One that has stood out consistently this year is they can’t seem to handle tight ends too well. Every time they’ve run into ones that can run and catch, they’ve allowed pretty big numbers. George Kittle, Jimmy Graham, and Zach Ertz all went over 90 yards. This is great news for Burton who is in the midst of a career season with 433 yards already.
