After the last game, is the Thanksgiving game against the Lions an automatic Win for us?

Absolutely not. While the win was a decisive one, it was at home. This will be on the road and the Bears haven’t won a game in Detroit since 2012. There will also be one other key factor. Star cornerback Darius Slay should be back on the field for the Lions defense. He picked off Trubisky twice the last time they saw each other. Not to mention the Bears will have played a game just 85 hours prior. They could be both mentally and physically fatigued.

Will Jordan Howard be in a Bears uniform next season or will he be traded in the offseason?

The way things have gone, it’s difficult not to wonder. Howard has been great at getting into the end zone this year but he just hasn’t been able to produce effective runs consistently. It’s frustrating, not just for him but everybody. With seven games left, it’s unclear if he can get this issue corrected. If he can’t, then 2019 becomes a huge question mark.

In these situations, I go back to the man calling the shots. Would Ryan Pace trade Howard? It’s hard seeing that happening. Pace has been adamant about rewarding and keeping his own players. Howard’s been great since his arrival in 2016. Would one down year in a potentially winning season actually change that? Maybe a patient approach wins out here.

Why do you still like Mitch? Aren’t you sick of all his screen passes and shovels accounting for 100% of his production?

Considering all those screens and shovels have resulted in over 2,300 passing yards and 19 touchdowns over the past nine games, no I can’t say I’m sick of it at all. In all seriousness, the running myth on Trubisky has to end. This kid is playing some good football right now. He’s accurate at all levels with the mechanics starting to come together. There will still be hiccups along the way as he grows more comfortable in the system. That’s inevitable. It’s a matter of letting it play out.
