The answer: Amari Cooper

Since becoming a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Amari Cooper has played two games for the team. In his first game, Amari Cooper was still trying to figure out the offense and how he fit in. Despite that, Cooper had 58 receiving yards and one TD on five receptions.

In his second game with the team, Cooper had 75 receiving yards on six receptions. In both his first and second games as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Cooper led the team in receiving yards. His total in those two games is 133 receiving yards and one TD on 11 receptions.

In six games with the Oakland Raiders, Cooper had 280 receiving yards and one TD on 22 receptions. His average receiving yards per game has gone up from 46.7 to 66.5 since joining the Dallas Cowboys.

This proves two things in my mind. First, the Oakland Raiders weren’t using Amari Cooper correctly. Second, the Dallas Cowboys are treating Amari Cooper as a number one receiver.

Let’s go back to the performance of Dak Prescott. This game marked his highest completion percentage of the season (72.2 percent). What changed for Dak?
